7 Self-Care Behaviors People Often Neglect

Some actions may not seem like self-care, but they are. We tend to neglect how self-caring they really are.

  1. Avoid avoidance — Break hard tasks into small easy steps.
  2. Get help when you need it — Ask specifically for what you want.
  3. Change perfectionism into “being excellent” — Adopt a “good enough” attitude instead of perfectionism.
  4. Set Boundaries — Memorize a few assertive response phrases which you can use to set better boundaries.
  5. Mind your money — Take steps daily towards financial self-sufficiency.
  6. Declutter — Go one surface, one drawer, one corner, one room at a time.
  7. Schedule Self-care in your calendar — What do you enjoy doing but dont often get to do?

Self-care is not just spa days, its actually taking really good care of you.
