Take 5 minutes to ask yourself these core questions to check in with your mental wellbeing.

A practice that needs to be done at least thrice a week for optimum mental health.

Ask yourself:

Did I get enough sleep?

Did I show myself and others kindness today?

Did I drink enough water?

Am I eating healthily and regularly?

Do my muscles need stretching?

How am I feeling right now?

When you honestly and accurately check in with yourself, you create a habit of not just physical wellbeing but also mental wellbeing.

And it takes only 5 minutes to prioritize YOU.

Sometimes you find yourself living on auto-pilot, playing out the stories of your past.

Becoming conscious of these stories is to step into your power. You, my dear, get to author your own story.

As we grow up, we are handed a rule book for how to be in this world.

Sometimes, we unconsciously play out these roles, reliving old hurts and acting-out behaviors that don’t serve us.

When you become conscious of your stories, you also become conscious of the power in re-writing them.

You are the author of your own story. It’s up to you to write your next chapter and decide the positive narrative you want to write it in.

My goal this past week was to intentionally try to be more present.
I’ve set my intention to be more mindful in the moment. It’s certainly faded my funk the past couple of days!

A Mindfulness practice does not have to make you feel overwhelmed. Sprinkle mindfulness into your day in small portions, just like I do.

Each way on this checklist takes 5 minutes or less:

  1. Watch and focus on your breathing.
  2. Have a mindful cup of tea/coffee, feeling every sip.
  3. Make a mindful meal, activating all your senses.
  4. Take a mindful walk, soaking in the nature around you.
  5. Have a Guided Mindful meditation practice.
  6. When feeling tensed, focus on the tensed muscle and release it.
