I wore the divorced label for a few years after my first violent marriage ended. Being asian(indian), divorce in itself was so taboo then, (more than it is now ofcourse!). It took so much courage and work to get out of that hell hole, on top of that society throws these kind of things in your face after. I laughed so hard when I read the title, cause I have been on the recieving end of those remarks. You would be surprised, its not just women with husbands, but women with eligeble age sons who have the same attitude towards divorced women.
